I just submitted this game to happypenguin! w00T!

No, I'm not the author nor had anything to do with the making of the game.
But it's really cool and most of all _hilarious_.
Check it out:
http://www.monochrom.at/suz-game/index_en.htm
This is the English page for the game. This looks like a very creative dev team!!
I'm playing "Sector 1" and it's funniern' hell.

Do you have some screenshots of the game? Or link to where some can be found?

Would be nice.

Yes, this is a really great game :)

But to really appreciate the game you need to read the story behind Sowjet-Unterzögersdorf:
http://www.monochrom.at/sowjet-unterzoegersdorf/

Double the fun if you are from lower austria as well :D

PauloMorfeo -the (one) screenshot can be found by just clicking on the picture
at the left side of the page, but here it is for your convenience :-)

hoehrer,
Is this country real? I got the impression from what I've read so far that it's
an imagination of the monochrom group. From quick Google, very few pages
come up for "Soviet Unterzögersdorf". I haven't done a lot of research but it
appears to be to be a fictitious place.
If you read the "55th Party Convention of the CPSUZöD", it definately looks
like an Artistic endeavor. And quite a kooky one at that!

The village Unterzögersdorf is real .. here's the mapquest location:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&searchtype=address&country=AT&addtohistory=&address=&city=Unterzogersdorf&zipcode=
(the red star isn't a soviet one, it's a location marker by mapquest ;)
The 'country' Soviet-Unterzögersdorf (and US-Oberzögersdorf while we are at that) [unter=lower, ober=upper] on the other side is pure fiction.

Everything i've read about Soviet Unterzögersdorf so far is fun pure and the ppl making it seem to have even more :D

Werner

PS: Maybe you want to get more things from the group that made this game (no more games, though, mostly art/texts/etc...) http://www.monochrom.at/

Gaa!

The game seems to work, but the setup program (the one I need to run to change it to English) won't run as it requires a library I don't have; libxml

Well... I do have it, but not a 32 bit version of it...

Can anyone tell me what I need to add to the config file to make it run in English?

Strange... the config file doesn't appear to be XML...

SpoonMeiser:
I had the same problem. I had to install "libxml1" a.k.a "the GNOME XML library".
As for a config file, no config file came with the game that I can see (running Debian).
Good Luck!

Thanks. Although only one is little, at least i can tell what kind of game it is. I supose it is a grafical adventure with real digitalized images!?

I would like to try it out but my russian/german/polish/???/... are rusty.
Does the game runs, also, in English (or Portuguese(silly hope) or Spanish?) or is the game playable without understanding the texts/speaches?

hmmm, i found this:
Quote:
Default language is Russian with German subtitles. Please use the setup program to change the subtitle language to English.

I guess i'll try it out.

I have libxml1 installed, but it's a 64bit version. I either need a copy of someones 32bit version of the library, or just the config file for the game, since the game itself does not appear to require libxml.

There is a file called something like agsetup.cfg in the directory with the game, can someone tell me what this looks like after setting it to English?

You're a star, thanks.

Unfortunatly I won't be able to test this now until after the weekend, but I'll do so as soon as possible.

My file was missing the
Code:
translation=english

line, and my attempts to guess what it should be failed.
