Just finished up a review of the module (since it'll be the last one) over at PCBurn: http://pcburn.com/game_review-Neverwinter_Nights_Infinite_Dungeons.php
Is it just me or is the game extremely wade through the monsters oriented? I found that it got boring after an hour of solid monster hacking and treasure hoarding.
What'd you all think? |

| So it seems that Bioware is venturing into the age old random dungeon genre ala nethack...i do think the anti-piracy mechanism is kinda lame but i really like nwn and God bless bioware for their continued linux support

| Internet connection while playing? Is it a MMORPG? To hell, it's too annoying. |

| It is no MMORPG. You need the connection to authenticate while starting a new game or loading a saved game. Afterwards you can cut the connection if you want. |

| If that is true, frack this. Seriously I thought about buying. Even though I know NWN wasn't always my piece of cake there are interesting Mods for it. But I ain't supporting this anti piracy crap that clearly goes beyond entering numbers into the computer or keeping the disc in the drive. It's getting worse.
They can keep the their game. |

| Agreed. I own NWN (I bought it because I wanted the software for creating my own modules, since I thought I might using it while DM'ing a tabletop D&D game). However, I never did get the Linux client working correctly (after trying for many hours). I certainly won't be buying this add-on, what with all the cripple-ware features it requires. (This means I can't play it on an airplane or in a hotel room without a connection, and I spend half my life in one of those two places. Sad, but true.) |
