I can't figure out how to prevent damage to the city. I can intercept the grenades, but the missiles can't be shot down, nor can the missile trailers. Finding the right combination of upgrades is mildly interesting, and I like the control system. Fun for bit.

Missiles and bombs don't damage the city. What you have to do is to use your shield to block all normal shots that enemies in the background fire. They move slowly and create a sort of crack in the screen when they hit. Tanks and big robots will also damage the city, but the only way to defend against those is to defeat them quickly. Hope it helps!

If you want play for 10-15 mins this maybe ok, but not more for me atleast. Nice music for the game, one star for it. Made with Bennu, from their webpage
"Bennu is a high level open source game development suite which focuses on modularity and portability, making it a perfect choice for cross-platform game development" so i guess the apocalypso.prg is the sourcecode if you wonder.
