Barrage Screenshot A violent ''point-and-click'' shooting game with nice effects.

In Barrage your goal is to kill and destroy as many targets as possible within 3 minutes. You control a gun which may fire either small or large grenades by ''point-and-click''. The game is a one-week by-product of writing a little particle system which required a testing platform but it is fun to play in between.

This is a fun game. Well worth the download. Not much for replayability however. Any Dog Breed

Score after first game: 0.
Score after fixing right mouse button: 990
Score after fourth real game: 2066
Score after writing an aimbot: 4035

I could've optimized the aimbot a bit more, but I'd say getting half the maximum possible score after four tries ain't bad :P

4 stars because it was fun for this long.

I really enjoy this game, when I need a little break - jump right in, shed some blood, get new highscore... perfect !

it is a great game! YES verry adictive!! i noticed it has verry similar basic objects of the windows game Red Alert. i wish we can have "command and conquer Red ALert" in Linux. i think that can be done. i know it's like "expensive, but to ask is cheap!".. how ever that will give u guys some credit. thanks for the good game.

The game itself it's quite interesting and i can't deny the fact that i personaly added some flavour by playing a bit with the defines :-), also i would like to thank Michael Speck for this game and most of all by making it a free oportunity to learn a bit of graphics directly from the source code. Of course things cand and probably would be added to the gameplay but in my opinion it still remains a good game (ofcourse it's not a world changing one but a nice one). And as a novelist from my country wrote on his first novel "You the one who read this, please take a look at my work, and if you aren't satisfied with what i have done in here please take a shot at make by yourself a novel that would stand well your standards" (Aproximative quote) Pls excuse my bad english, not my native language.

I didn't have fun with this game at all. It looks nice though.
Explosions leave craters, but destroyed tanks and bodies get erased after a few seconds.
My score: 689, using a trackpoint, I imagine it'll be harder with a touchpad.

  0install Barrage posted by Anonymous @ 80.130.152.130 on Oct 22 2005 5:12 PM
BTW.: If you don't have root access, you can run Barrage on every Linux system without installation by 0install (all dependencies will be dowloaded automatically and won't overwrite libraries on your system). A 0install interface for Barrage is available at http://people.freenet.de/LinuxCNC/0install/barrage , all you need to start Barrage *without* installation is the 50kb 0install Python script from http://0install.org/injector.html Any feedbacks are welcome... ;)

It's just a target practice game with a time limit. No extra levels. No one fires back. There are no power ups to pick up. There is no boss monster to fight. I admit there is a bit of fun, but it wears thin after a while.
