Captain 'S' - The Remake Screenshot Remake of a classic spanish game.

2D Platform game, with great graphics.

A calm day begins in Seville. Mariano López goes to his job as sausage delivery man. Meanwhile, at Santiponce's interestratospheric devices centre, everybody is getting ready to the first fully spanish rocket launch, designed by famous Dr. Torrebruno, an eminent nuclear physicist who had to leave the project prematurely, due to a strange mental disease.

But nobody expected the rocket to suffer a sudden variation on its path, and falls right on the truck that Mariano López uses to transport a blood sausages cargo.

Mariano, unconscious, lies on the floor besides his sausages and the truck's wreckage, spread all around. Some hours later, he wakes up really hungry, and eats an entire box of the radiated blood sausages.

But... what the hell is happening!? Mariano is becoming different: Every muscle grows, he becomes taller, his ugly face becomes a pretty superhero's, Captain 'S', who discovers that everything was part of the evil Torrebruno's plan, with the true intention of ruling the World, starting by Seville.

looks great, but nothing for me posted by P3GCu2h3bE @ 213.39.223.30 on Mar 3 2009 7:26 PM 333
You can use -window to launch it in a window mode (if you don't let applications get focus, you want to, because somehow this game does not take focus even when fullscreen). Do NOT change the "keyboard + joystick" setting, if you switch to "joystick" you won't be able to use the keyboard to get back from it. While I could navigate the menu with my gamepad, I could not use its buttons in the key config. The artwork is beautiful but the gameplay is totally not what I like. It is ultra slow and hard.

Damn you, program author! Your download file is a tarbomb, perfectly designed to scatter files far and wide in my home directory!!

PLEEEEASE make sure your tar files unpack into a NEW directory and don't just unpack in the current one!

im not really a fan of jump and runs. and this one is just another proof why i dont like them. During 3 tries i could not get past the second screen, i quit and deleted it. This is just bad gamedesign... If you work that long on a game, get yourself some testers that are not experienced with that type of game and adjust the easy difficulty, so even someone who doesnt hit anything at all can play and experience all that work you put into it...

I will definitely will try it, when I will have more free time. Damny good Pixel Art(when not counting smooth light, should be dithered IMHO), and good scanline emulation. Looks very promising on screenshot :)
