Don Ceferino Hazaņa Screenshot Action game similar to Super Pang

A game similar to 'Super Pang'. You are attacked by little green balls which are bouncing around and which you have to kill with your knife. Your knife however is limited to being thrown upwards, thus you have to get under the balls to kill them. Even worse, if you 'kill' a large ball, it doesn't just vanish, but breaks apart into two smaller balls. Levels consist of little platforms connected by ladders, so you can go up and down or find cover if needed.

  Gameplay should be improved posted by Anonymous @ 212.113.164.104 on Sep 24 2005 11:04 AM
Very nice indeed... has great potential! Seems to me that the gameplay could be vastly improved, since "the feeling" when trowing knifes & hit isn't very good -- mainly collision detection. I think if this is in focus for the next versions, Ceferino can be another reference in linux gaming! Other things that would vastly improve the game: Multiplayer (local/network) Map Editor Multi-Resolution Graphic Sets

  great game posted by straver @ 130.235.186.208 on Jun 13 2005 8:54 AM 4444
I finally beat the game after playing it for weeks.

Some suggestions:
* please make an options to disable the sound/music
* the last levels are a bit too easy.
* need more levels :)

Yes, it gets better :-)
autoconf makes installation really easy. It just seems the music files (musicas/) are missing in the tarfile and the game complains they are missing on start and disables the music system. I copied them from the old version. CPU usage is indeed better now - still quite high in the menue(!?).
Nevertheless clearly one star up!

GNU Autotools was indeed a good decision! Btw: A separate setup program for a GNU/Linux program is unique these days. :) I think you do this because you cannot switch certain things ingame. However most games simply print a message that says that you have to restart for this and that feature to have an effect. Please continue your effort. Btw2: If you need someone to make music for your game try here. The guy there (pronobozo) has offered this in happypenguin's forums: http://www.pronobozo.com/p_osgm/osgm_application/apply.php Thanks for releasing this as libre/free software. Other could learn from you.

The game is very nice. Graphics are cool. Main thing missing is two-player option. I kind-of like the Spanish text, it really gives a good "feel" to the game. Collision detection could be improved. Anyway, keep up with good work, this looks like it is going to be a decent Pang clone.

I'm just curious but how should this two-player option look like? Cooperative Mode?

Just like in original Pang. Two players cooperate, and when either dies, they loose a life. Best is that lives are shared, so the other player doesn't get bored.

Very nice game. Once I got past the compilation problem (lines using BASEDIR insrc/audio.cpp need a bigger string than 40), I found this game to be very enjoyable. No music is intalled but that forgiveable. Excellent work!

As other said: please offer possibility to translate the game (hint gettext) Furthermore find someone who knows the autotools (or learn it yourself) and set it up for your game. This would make distro inclusion much easier. Thanks for providing another game the Free/Libre Software Movement!
