I liked a lot your idea, and your website. Anyway I think you should improve the ball collision/trajectory. When I played with your arcade volleyball I had the idea it wasn't as funny as I remeber. After trying the original in dosbox I realized there is something you should enhance in the ball trajectory.

Yeah! Finally a best GPL Arcade on the net. The game is very well designed and works perfectly. The computer IA is very intelligent :) and it allows many hours of amusement. Bye. A tip: first get the last cvs source.

Gameplay wasn't smooth. although it really looks like the old DOS game, I don't like GAV. I had no fun playing it.

it's a really fun in multi(2)player mode. and it runs(!) very smooth for me.
did you try to run it on the same hardware you used to play the DOS original on? ;-)

Very strange... what operating system are you running? Linux? What distribution? We tested GAV on Linux, winXP and beos and we had no problem...

Ok, I did know the original game, and yet in that time, it wasn't that funny, though it was popular. But come on! One can play 5 minutes but after that it gets very boring, even if you play against a human!

What platform are you running the game on? If the themes are installed properly, you can select them by choosing the "extra" entry, followed by "themes". Then select the themes. Do you only have "classic" under "themes"?
