I died in stage four! (no I don't complain :) It was fun to play from stage two on, the first one is a bit boring and several times I was close to quit the game but then it became quite nice. The screens between the stages, the menu and the way the music changes is really good and adds a lot of atmosphere, this is well done already... not to forget that you offer some bosses to kick, this is always a big plus. But it's 0.1 and you for sure know what must be done to push it to 1.0 but I give some suggestions anyway. Maybe there is one you did not think of yet:

- more action in stage one
- upgrades should kick in earlier
- game pause
- volume control
- fast ship: yes, fast background: no. the speed is disturbing as it does not run smooth although I have a Athlon 800 which I consider fast. so you should consider to slow down the ground so that it runs smooth
- ship should be faster from the beginning, it does not feel good to have the best ship available on earth when it is that slow!
- parallax tiling for the space stage or even no tiling at all but computing some stars. in space levels you can get a cool look without much work on that

and of course: more enemies, more weapons, more stages, more tiles, more clouds!!!
