Compete for free against thousands of other players and decorate yourself with great trophies!

2023 - Since the wars between enemy nations were dying out at the beginning of the 21. century, someone had to ensure a fresh supply of senseless violence. The solution: Hive Rise! The TV-Show, in which bored millionaires, car tinkers and retired generals can do a live and uncensored arms race.

On a gigantic battleground somewhere in the desert sand opposing camps are neatly lined up. From here the teams are facing each other, using highly specialized mercenaries and the latest military equipment.

Be there when it`s time for everybody against everybody, you against all and all against YOU!

The last time i played this i quickly realised that the only point to the game is advancing on the leaderboard, and the easiest way to do that is to pay money(real) to the game's developers, utterly pointless. Have they padded it out, used the engine for a proper rts or anything?

Archlinux, nvidia graphics drivers. It loads halfway and then hangs completely. Had to kill the process(es) from another terminal.

It's really simple to learn and fun to play, but you must play very aggrasive and offensive to survive the 10 minutes ( and kill your neighbours :) ) I (only) played about 20 matches now, but I was never killed anytime up to know. But maybe I'm a bit trained for offensive RTS gaming from playing glest ;-)

  Interesting concept posted by Jazz @ 93.170.2.97 on Aug 21 2009 7:04 AM 4444
Game got an interesting concept of an 10-minutes close RTS fights. It's very simple to learn - three unit types, and units to counter them.

But concept is not yet implemented :/ Protective field that prevents enemy units from getting on your base is useless - enemy howtizers can raze your resource-producing buildings through the field.

Also it's much about camping and blocking. Most of the enemy units are trying to rush to your flag - capture your base and make you unable to fight back. Turrets can be built only on entrances, so enemy units in the center of hive can't be reached by their fire. Building useless barracks around your flag and pushing all units in the center makes your base invulnerable and you'll get good unit kills ratio at the end. Building few bombers will help to balance you buildings razed ratio.

Round lasts only 10 minutes. I could not find any reasons to advance in the enemy base, because you'll lose more than mine in last minutes.
