.deb problem posted by Anonymous @ 81.102.80.114 on Oct 12 2003 5:55 AM
I tried to install the *.deb that's been made available for download but I'm getting an error telling me that I've not got pygame installed. This is almost true, as I've got python2.[1-3]-pygame packages installed instead. Would it be possible to alter the check to look for _either_ pygame or python2.[1-3]-pygame instead?

The Debian package is for Woody, and I'm guessing you are having problems because you are using Sarge or Sid. I expect that a package should be in Sid within a month or so--the maintainer is short on time at the moment.

In the meantime, there is an easy workaround. Download the source package and check the documentation to see how to create a .rpm automagically. Once you create the .rpm, you can convert it to a .deb using 'alien'.

Also, this really isn't the best place for bug reports, as I don't always check regularly. You can expect a faster response by emailing me directly.

I am open to suggestions for changes in gameplay. In particular, I would like to add some sort of "bonus round" system, with different gameplay mechanics (for example, perhaps during a bonus round the player is able to swap any two jools within a certain distance of each other).

Please let me know if you can think of any *specific* changes to consider.

Perhaps have the wrap across the sides... so that a jool along the left edge can be swapped with the one on the right.

Very nice and polished. Worked fine with pygame on OS X. Maybe another gameplay mode where you can rotate without forming a match would be great.
