LTris Screenshot Very polished tetris clone with CPU opponents.

LTris is a very polished Tetris clone and highly configurable due to it's menu.
It offers you the well-known gametype Classic, a funny gametype Figures (new figure each level, suddenly appearing tiles and lines) and Multiplayer with up to three players either controlled by human or CPU(!).

In fact, even if you don't like Tetris you should download this just to see your CPU in action in mode Demo!

No background music and no network posted by YuGiOhJCJ @ 81.56.209.13 on Aug 29 2010 7:43 AM 333
Very good tetris game. I like the menu. But with no background music and no network, it is difficult to have fun...

Great. There is no music. Listen to SLAY Radio while you are playing and you'll love it.

Fantastic tetris clone - really enjoyable. A few crits as mentioned by others, but none of them significantly detract from the funness. High score - 736388 (190 lines, Begining on level 9)

Please scrap the wood background, and give an option to push pieces down instead of dropping them completely.

Both is possible: To push down block faster or drop in one go. Check the controls to see which keys to use.

This is probably the best Tetris clone I've ever played! Sounds could be a bit better, though, and I miss the original Tetris music from GameBoy. I don't trust the smooth mode, but the original Tetris didn't have one either, so no big deal. Anyway, two thumbs up, and if I had a third arm, it would be three!

      0install LTris posted by Anonymous @ 80.130.152.130 on Oct 22 2005 5:17 PM
BTW.: If you don't have root access, you can run LTris on every Linux system without installation by 0install (all dependencies will be dowloaded automatically and won't overwrite libraries on your system). A 0install interface for LTris is available at http://people.freenet.de/LinuxCNC/0install/ltris , all you need to start LTris *without* installation is the 50kb 0install Python script from http://0install.org/injector.html Any feedbacks are welcome... ;)

Not my favourite, but still... posted by jamyskis @ 84.135.239.131 on Oct 14 2005 12:07 AM 4444
I miss Tetris Pro on the Amiga :-p In any case, there's something I can't quite grasp about this game that bothers me. Perhaps it's the sheer scope of the options that leaves you wondering if the author intended you to create your own Tetris game. I can't help but feel that it's missing that certain "touch" but as it is, it's a superb game.

Music, that's the problem. You don't have to get lost in options if you don't want to. The defaults are more than perfect most of the time. No, it's the music. My fav tetris, unreached by any other, was Acid Tetris on DOS because it looked really cute and had _great_ trance-like music...

The left-right controls are too difficult... to get a one pace move.

Set the framerate limit to 200 fps to fix your control problem.

Tile-by-Tile movement is way better to control.

Or you could increase the 'horizontal delay' in 'options' alternatively...
