I finally had time to play this a bit and really think that it deserves 5 stars. With the recent patches by LGP it works well on modern distributions, something that is often a problem with older commercial titles. We don't have many RTS games on Linux, I hope we get the second part as well.

I played the latest demo, 1.0.03. This game has potential, but it has one serious shortfall that makes playing painful. When you scroll with the arrow keys, it stutters like cheap games in the 90s sometimes did. To scroll right, for example, you hit the right arrow. It scrolls right one tile, then pauses for a second, and then continues scrolling. That pause is just not acceptable. Keyboard scrolling should be smooth. I would buy this game if it weren't for that. Other than that, I would give this game 3 or 4 stars. Neat game overall.

There is a few people at #lgp @ irc.freenode.net who play this game CONSTANTLY. People begging to play this game online (which is actualy quite exciting), should head on over and ask someone to play. I would garauntee someone will play, if not three. 4 stars, because the lack of a master server requires the use of hunting someone down to play online, though not difficult.

A well round up and very unique game. Most of the levels of the original were kind of lame but The Northern Expansion fixed that. 5/5 from me.

This game rocks, even if it is an older game. This game is still one of the funnest games to play. and it doesn't take a beast of a computer to run.
