The best game by Kenta Cho I've tried - used to be Torus Troopers but this is even better! Graphics, sound, music, gameplay, everything is great!

Excellent game! Brings back those fond memories of the 80's video arcade. Good, clean, pulse rising fun. Again, the sound track is awesome.

This is best shooter that I have played in years. Great work. Shame that the author used D programming language.

I think maybe its a bigger shame the GNU compiler collection has yet to adopt D. But its certainly not their fault. With every minor point release so far, real changes to the standard have be made. I stand by the decision to wait till a stable and final version of the D standard is released. I just hope Walther finds his way there someday.

When executing p47 I get: "./p47: relocation error: ./p47: symbol __libc_stack_end, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference". I've read a misplaced post about the same subject on this site, where recompiling helped, but downloading/setting up the D compiler seems too much of a hazzle too me.

You'll want the p47_0.2_libc.tar.gz file from the sourceforge page:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=113412
Replace the p47 executable with the executable from the tar.gz.

With that new binary, now I get: p47: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Sounds like an odd setup. Recompiling p47 should fix it. Bit difficult, but should be worth it.

I've been addicted to this game ever since it came out. Someone on /. posted a Linux makefile for it back a while ago. I found it to be even better when I modified the source to more fully use the analog controls on my controller for more precise control, even at the same blinding speed. :]
