This is a clone of the classic "Missile Command" Game, but it has better graphics and music. You have to defend cities by shooting at missiles, smartbombs and Flyers. |

| The game is well done and all, but after the first misstake it's over - once you've left with to little ammo, you're done. | |||

| I'd love to play this game, but when I try to run it, I get: "Couldn't load /usr/local/share/penguin-command/gfx/abc.png: Unsupported image format" I'm running Slackware 10.2 with the 2.6.13 kernel. Any ideas? | |||||||||||||

| Great missile command clone posted by tinan @ 82.36.79.74 on Aug 31 2006 11:54 AM | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Nothing to add to what previous posters have said - everything is very well executed in this game and it is easy to compile, install, and modify. It's only missiles falling out of the sky, though, so 4 stars is my rating. | |||

| Bombers posted by Anonymous @ 207.81.213.97 on Nov 26 2005 3:24 AM | |||
| This game is excellent. Just one thing though. Would it be possible to have the bombers that approach from the left side of the screen to also enter from the right? The lack of bombers from the right unbalances the game as your left launcher runs out of missiles, and the right is too far away to be meaningful. Again, this game is excellent. | |||

| Easy to modify graphics too posted by Anonymous @ 68.111.190.239 on Nov 19 2005 8:29 PM | |||
| This is a great Missile Command remake. I was even able to change the cities to igloos and the guns are aimed by penguins. I was able to edit the image files easily. | |||

| 0install Penguin Command posted by Anonymous @ 80.130.152.130 on Oct 22 2005 5:05 PM | |||
| BTW.: If you don't have root access, you can run Penguin Command on every Linux system without installation by 0install (all dependencies will be dowloaded automatically and won't overwrite libraries on your system). A 0install interface for Penguin Command is available at http://people.freenet.de/LinuxCNC/0install/penguin-command , all you need to start Penguin Command *without* installation is the 50kb 0install Python script from http://0install.org/injector.html . Any feedbacks are welcome... ;) | |||

| For those who like killing things with mouse coordination, music, and clicking for explosions -- it's not bad. This game is fun even if you're not a big fan of stopping every nuke sent at you. Maybe there should be a retaliation attack force to stop whoever is wilfully sending missles at you. ;) | |||

| Great flash-back game! Easy to customise posted by Anonymous @ 68.8.44.2 on Aug 27 2002 4:30 PM | |||
| I really like the functionality and the ability to use all 3 buttons of my mouse to fire from all 3 cannons. I also like that I was able to customise the graphics (I changed the cities to Igloos and the guns to Penguins) | |||

| A game that compiles straight off with no problems, has great graphics and gameplay, and even a good score! (Hurray, Future Crew!) Fun fun fun. And addictive. | |||
