Virtual Jay Peak Screenshot Snowboard Simulation

Virtual Jay Peak is a simulation of snowboarding at the Jay Peak resort in Vermont. The terrain is based on geological survey data of the mountain and surrounding area, with the addition of signature trails and buildings. The software is based on the extreme backcountry snowboarding game Soul Ride.

Linux Game Publishing is going to be publishing the official Linux version of Soul Ride. It'll be available from Tux Games shortly for x86 and PPC.

Great work.. Looks quite good once the settings are cranked up. Put the full version up for sale at tuxgames and I'll buy a copy (for a reasonable price, of course..)

is it just me or does this game look like a total ripoff of the arcade game 'surf planet' put out by a spanish company a few years ago? damn i loved surf planet. i think it was gaelco

If you can install the full version of Soulride with Wine, I have word that you can copy the data files over and they will work under Linux.

uhmmm...
there's a binary release created for linux...
why use wine? thats fps - 40 or something ;)

just copy the data files of you're win version to the
linux verion (which is demo) and it'll prolly run fine...
(the same way as in quake 3,rtcw)

he said you install it in wine (to get the data) and copy it over to your soulride directory to get the full game working. he didn't say anything about playing the game in wine.
