Graphics: It's 2d, but for this type of game is not important. Sound: attractive. Gameplay: engrossing and amusing... it means "good time"! The only complaint is that I don't manage to find a way to change resolution... ;-(

torustroopers also builds on linux-ppc but fails to start with: "Error: circular initialization dependency with module shape" Any hints? cheers, Frostwork

Hi again! In case some ppc-users are interested, i just found out that other aba-games compile fine on ppc, too when replacing the sdl-d sources with those from gunroar... cheers frostwork

http://dgcc.sourceforge.net/ It's a (open source) gcc implemetation for the d-language! a7xpg & parsec47 compile & work fine, too :) torustroopers & tumikifighters have a "circular initialization dependency" - probably not hard to fix for a d-pro :) I even built mu-cade successfully with it, but unfortunately the executable segfaults :( cheers, frostwork

I love these games and Im trying to learn programming. So Im actually going to try out the D programing language. It would be really cool to make something useful, like a cewl indie game like this!

Nice change of pace for me. posted by Anonymous @ 208.104.223.159 on Aug 1 2006 1:33 PM
I have not spent a lot of time with this game (Too busy right now) but it looks promising. My only crit at this point is making things a little easier to see...but then I have pretty poor eye sight right now lol. Great little game from what I have played :D Now I just need some time to practice as I suck at it haha。Nice idea as well about fire power. Hardcore fans of games like this might have something to say, but I found it made things interesting. Good job.

It isn't just you ... things in there are really hard to see and even more it's hard to identify objects ... hmm is that strange geometric shape my ship or is it the targeting boxes or is it enemy missles about to blow me up or is it an enemy ship ? You know I think if they added more colors and more than just geometric shapes for objects it would be a lot easier to play, and it would look nicer too. The concept is interesting though. All in all 3/5 so far.
