This game is really amazing. I've been playing it for about a year and a half now and it's still amazingly fun. There are good maps for new and old players alike, and new ones are constantly being made. This is definitely a classic.

The BZFlag developers are pro-women's rights faggots who should be executed with a shotgun slug to the stomach.

Stupid troll. Human rights are important, unless you're a stupid religious misogynistic retard. Now go away and stop ruining these boards.

On topic though, BZFlag is great game, though when I tried to play it on my Intel 950 it kept crashing, hopefully this new version doesn't have that problem, though it's probably a driver issue.

Yeah. I guess he's talking about Mikeusa getting banned from the #BZflag channel, unless there's been another sad chapter that I missed.

How dare those BZFlag meanies kick out such a nice, upstanding person! I mean, he's clearly shown he can work politely with others, avoid posting foulmouthed flames to developer lists and irc channels, follow a project's submission guidelines, and work to correct any problems the lead developers have with his submissions. That's why he got booted from Crossfire!

Obviously it's the result of a widespread feminist conspiracy that's secretly running rampant throughout the open source community, and not at all the fact that he's an asshat.

Hey, say what you will about others, but most of us in the open source community are proud to be feminists. We, unlike many men in other industries, have a deep and profound respect for women and know they are equal in talent and are very often infact superior to men in ability. I am glad that anti-feminist trollops are being excised from the open source community. This child should go the way of Debian's Ted Walther who has been ejected from Debian for his mysoginistic beliefs and has been ostracised from the larger open source community for the same reason. It is good that we men of the open source community show that we are unlike other men in that we actually respect women and get rid of those men who do not. What this troll and others spew is hate speech. If he lived in canada or any european country he would be serving a prison term.

Well hey, I'm with you there. I want to see the open source community as a true meritocracy, but I have to admit it sometimes resembles a good ole boys club, with all the attendant bigotry and exclusionary cliquishness that that entails. The more that can be done to relieve any atmosphere of unwelcome that we give off, the better.

As for prison terms, I think threatening people with your violent murder fantasies is illegal in most places, "hate speech" laws or no, but I figure this dummy's just your average internet tough guy. If you ran into him face to face, he'd probably wet himself rather than spout that shit in person

It looks like it's trying to go fullscreen (using the X Vidmode extension) and your system doesn't support it. try disabling fullscreen in the bzflag settings. (it's probably under ".bzflag" in your home directory. I don't recall -- it's been awhile since I had it installed.)

Great game, but very insecure... nearly everybody can KILL YOU! One can fix this by changing line 1551 in src/bzflag/LocalPlayer.cxx. old: if (t >= minTime) continue; new: if (t >= minTime) continue; else continue; This could help to PROTECT THE INNOCENT =)
